Cheat Meals 2

And today I wanna talk about something that I think needs to change in the fitness industry - the term "Cheat Meal".

To me, the phrase "Cheat Meal" suggests that we're doing something wrong or breaking the rules by enjoying our favourite foods. But why should we view it that way?

Food is more than just fuel for our bodies, it's a source of pleasure and enjoyment as well. As humans, we should be able to enjoy food and all the different flavours and textures that come with it.

I don’t like this concept any more than using exercise as a punishment.

Exercise should be viewed as a way to improve our physical and mental health, not as a punishment or a way to make up for indulgences

Our mindset and the language we use to describe our choices can have a huge impact on our behaviour. That's why labelling food as "good" or "bad" can be problematic. We should strive to make choices that align with our goals and make us feel good physically and mentally.

We can also set an example for our children by modelling a healthy relationship with food. By choosing a balanced approach to nutrition and fitness, we can show them that we don't need to feel guilty or ashamed for enjoying our favourite foods.

So let's shift our perspective and stop using the term "Cheat Meal." Instead, let's focus on making intentional choices and enjoying our food without guilt, shame, or punishment. By doing so, we can create sustainable habits for ourselves and set a positive example for future generations.
