I read a really good article yesterday about the impact the pandemic has had on health behaviours.
And pretty much as you'd expect, the combination of COVID, lockdown and the ongoing restrictions have had a pretty significant impact on both body weight and stress levels of a lot of people
I know we've banged on in past emails about doing one thing to take you one step closer to your goal, but today we thought we'd change our tune a little bit and encourage you to do something which will have a positive impact on your self care.
It doesn’t have to be anything to do with training or nutrition or achieving your goals.
It could be 15 minutes of meditation, treating yourself to a massage, seeing a physiotherapist about any aches and pains you have, making a long overdue doctor’s appointment, meeting up with a friend, listening to some music or simply taking a nap and catching up on a bit of sleep.
Maybe now that the weathers starting too take a turn for the better, even a walk outside in the sunshine would do the trick.
On another note, we've been thinking a lot about what we do at Polaris Fitness, and a big part our our mission to help as many people as we can regain their physical and mental health (and yes, we believe that they go hand-in-hand) in this post lockdown world.
The problem is, we can train so many people face to face at the studio, so this newsletter is one practice we're committed to in order to help us reach and have a positive impact on more people.
So we thought we'd use todays email as an opportunity to ask you: What’s one thing you need in order to have your best year ever over the next 12 months?
