Over the years, we've had a lot of people come to us, wanting to transform their bodies and health, and one of the things we've noticed is that sometimes their view of what's required to succeed can often pretty far from reality. We often hear things like....

"I need to stop eating carbs,"

Or, "I need to workout six days a week."

Or, "No more pizza."

And whilst here's no doubt that if you stopped eating carbs and started training 6 times a week, you could transform your body quite significantly, there is one big problem.

Despite the good intentions, they're just too extreme and UNSUISTAINABLE.

Maybe you'd be able to do it for a few weeks, and see some improvements in your short term body and health, but they're just not sustainable in the long term and we can assure you that one year later you'll end up right where you started.

So we thought that with summer coming up, and most people thinking about improving their bodies and health for the summer, we'd share with you the No. 1 requirement for transforming both.

CLARITY.

In order to change, you must get clear on two things, where you are today and where you want to go.

This could be done in many ways, depending on your goals, for example...

  • you could get some bloods done to get a better idea of your health status
  • you could record your weight and body fat percentage, or take some circumferences and skinfolds to get a better idea of your body composition
  • you could do a fitness test to get a better idea of your current fitness levels

These days you don't even need to go to your GP to get your bloods, there are some great companies out there that do at home test kits, like Thriva for example.

At the studio we like to use the 2k row a 10 min Air Bike test to get an idea of your current aerobic fitness and work capacity, but there are plenty of tests which you can do on your own.

If you don't know where you are today, it can be pretty difficult (if not impossible) to set proper goals and achieve them. 

So if you're looking to transform your body and health during the second half of 2021, the very first thing you need is CLARITY. 

Ask your self, where are you today and where do you want to go?
