Hello, I'm Tom Miller, 34, Commercial Director of a fast growing LED screen maintenance start up, living in Bushey Heath,. i've been working with Polaris Fitness for 2.5 years. In the past I've had difficulty achieving this on myown as i had no training structure, and repeatedly fell off the wagon and lost interest, always returning to bad habits) . Before joining Polaris Fitness I was worried that training would be too intense or I would lose interest after a while as not exciting enough, but I achieved my weight loss objectives of increasing muscle, lowering my body fat percentage, increasing energy levels and all round well being as a result of a regular, structured and dynamic training programme complemented by healthy diet. When I started training at Polaris in the Spring of 2015, ahead of my wedding, I lost a stone and during my most recent spell of training in April this year, I lost another stone, lowered body fat percentage and toned up physically . With the semi private approach of Polaris you still get the benefit of personal training; for one because depending on what time you train, you may actually get the full attention of one or both of the guys (if the studio isn't busy) and two, even with a full studio the guys will ensure they are monitoring you and doing everything a PT should! The thing i like the best about Polaris is the friendly and welcoming approach to training - both Dave and Juran are highly personable, fun to work with and always very accommodating. The semi private approach - you don't get the staleness of training in a corporate gym environment, the long wait to use equipment, the show offs admiring themselves in the mirror or any of the other negatives associated with commercial gyms. If you are on the fence about joining, I'd say 'get off the fence and give it a go!' - you won't regret it. It's affordable personal training with fantastic results (provided you put the hard work in, you will get plenty out of it)
My name is Hayley French, aged 36. I have been training with David & Juran at Polaris since April this year 2017. I originally joined with the goal of losing weight for my holiday in July, I wanted to get back in shape and look toned. However after reaching my goal after my holiday I decided to keep up the training as I enjoyed it so much could see clear results. I have always been active and before trained by myself in a gym and also had a personal trainer, my issue was that I travel a lot within my job and work quite unsociable hours, it was also hard to stay disciplined and focused as I got bored quite quickly with the same workouts on my own. When I first heard about Polaris I was a little sceptical about the semi-private setting as had always had a one on one trainer, but I have seen a very clear weight loss and change in my body shape. Even in a semi private setting the guys are still very attentive, I feel like I still get 100% attention with my training programmes and direction whilst in the gym. The best thing about polaris fitness is the fact I see clear results and the fact the gym is up beat and not pretentious. Both David and Juran are very knowledgeable and I have learnt so much just from the advice they have given me on nutrition and training. I would 100 percent recommend Polaris!
I started training with Polaris in April 2017 with the intention of gaining muscle and improving my overall fitness levels. Like most people I’ve had trouble sticking to a programme in the past so needed the structure that going to Polaris has given me. Before I started I was worried about whether private training would be suited for me because I had never done any weight training, but David and Juran put me at ease from the first session and tailored my workouts from the very beginning to help me develop these skills! Since joining I have noticed visible differences in my body and my overall strength, reducing my body fat but also increasing muscle. Joining Polaris has also helped change my attitudes towards food and the importance of this on my improvement. The best thing about training at Polaris is absolutely the support and inclusiveness of the studio for whatever age or goals you have. If you’re on the fence I’d recommend taking up the one week free trial and seeing for yourself how David and Juran can tailor a workout to suit you!
I have been training at the gym for about 2-3 months. My main goals were to get fitter, healthier, more toned and loose weight. In the past I have always struggled to motivate myself. I would start for a few days then give up. I was worried I might not enjoy it, or might not stick at it, but the trial week helped make my decision A bit easier, but since working with polaris Fitness I have noticed I have lost weight, I feel a lot more motivated and as though I’m in a routine I now prefer training in a semi private setting, as your not on your own, you have motivation, you are told exactly what it is that you need to be doing, shown correct techniques. And even though you train with others you never feel neglected I like that there is variety, I’m never bored, I see and feel a difference and I stay motivated. If someone was thinking about training at Polaris fitness, I would always say give it a try as you never know, you most probably would enjoy it, and I have done that and persuaded others to try the gym and they have all ended up liking it too
I'm Kat Hayes and I have been training with Dave and Juran for around 9 months now. I have done various types of fitness training in the past but over the last 2-3 years had lost my motivation. My goals were to tone up, to get stronger but mainly to stay motivated! Having trained with Dave and Juran I have noticed a massive change to my strength and general fitness levels and clothes that were getting too tight started to fit again! I love the semi private setting because my programme is specific to me, it changes every 4-6 weeks so I don't get bored and I feel I'm always feel I'm being pushed. Because I tend to train at the same time every day i often train with the same people so we help motivate each other on the tough days! I can't recommend these guys enough! If you're unsure if this is for you give it a try. They make training fun!
Hi, I am margaret, just in case you were wondering if PolarisFitness is limited to 30s proffessionals, I am 61 years young. I have been going to Polaris for just under 2 years and it has become an important part of my life. i am proud to be a member of the polaris family. Dave and Juran are extremely professional, they are both highly qulalified and watch you like hawks to ensure tht you are doing the exercises corrctly to maximise befefit and avoid injury. I suffered from cartilage problems in my right knee, but they worked on strengthening the supporting muscles and it no longer bothers me. As for results, I joined as a size 16 and i am now findng my size 12 cloths loose. I am fitter and better toned than I have been since my 20s. More importantly, the 'boys' really care about their clients and take a genuine interest in you. You really become part of their family Last May I completed the Inca Trail, a 45km trek through the Andes cklimbing 2000m in one day to 4215m. a feat I could have never done without thre help of Dave and juran. needlessto say they were the first people i whatsapped to inform the of my success
I trained with both David and juran for a few months before a medical procedure. My surgeon even noticed the change in me from pre surgery to surgery day, it was only 3 months apart. They were both amazing to train with. They listened to what I wanted to gain from the sessions and worked with me to achieve my short term goals.. A great eye for detail to ensure my technique was always on form. extremely motivating and now I can't wait to retur in the new year to start again
All of our Training Plans are 100% tailored for YOU. During our initial Success Session we will discuss your exercise history and current goals in further detail, before taking you through a movement based assessment. This will provide us with the necesary information needed to create the most effective program to help you achieve your goals. After this initial sesssion we will take you through each of your workouts for 7 days, so that we can make necessary tweaks to your plan and so that you get a feel of how to do each workout at the right pace and intensity.
